This event brought together industry leaders, technology experts, and business innovators for a day of insightful discussions and networking opportunities.

The conference featured a series of compelling presentations and panel discussions, each delving into critical aspects of business technology and its transformative potential. TechXAfrica 2024 boasted an agenda rich with insights and expertise, kicking off with an engaging opening by MC Minnie Dlamini, followed by Ayanda Ngebulana, CEO of Billion Systems, who provided a warm welcome, setting the stage for an exciting day ahead. Nisha Kostas, Director of Billion Systems, then introduced the event’s partners, underscoring their crucial roles.
Dr. Sisa Ngebulana, Chairman of The Billion Group, delivered a powerful address, emphasizing the importance of innovation and collaboration in the ICT sector. His remarks resonated deeply with the audience, highlighting the transformative power of technology in today’s world.
The conference proceeded with a series of in-depth sessions led by anchor partners:

- Reddy Shivaprasad of in10s Technologies presented on “Enabling Digital Transformation of Enterprises,” offering strategies for businesses to navigate their digital journeys effectively.
- Campbell Clout of Odessa examined “XaaS – Changing Dynamics of Technology,” exploring the evolving landscape of technology services.
- Alice Qi of Zhongguancun Science Park introduced the audience to “Zhongguancun Science Park South Africa (Beijing/South Africa),” highlighting international collaboration in technology innovation.
- A round table discussion led by George Varden included experts such as Assad Haddad, Rajeev Sharma, Deepak Mehta, Kudzai Sithole, and Richard Mufuna, who delved into topics like the future of ERP systems, data storage, robotics, and IoT.
Further enriching the agenda, Ravin Naidu of Pinnacle/Alcatel-Lucent spoke on “The Future of Connected Intelligence,” while Lisa Wright of Console Connect addressed “Automation and Virtualization in Driving Business Efficacy.” Bernard Serote of QNUM Analytics wrapped up the partner sessions with a compelling talk on “Applied Data Science in Heavy Industrial Operations.” In addition to the engaging sessions, the event featured exhibitions from the above-mentioned partners, including E4 represented by Varsha Singh and Pinnacle represented by Mohammad Khan, who showcased their innovative solutions and contributions to the ICT sector.
Dr. Sisa Ngebulana concluded the day with closing remarks, expressing gratitude and emphasizing the ongoing commitment to innovation and partnership within the ICT sector. He stated, “Technology is the heartbeat of our modern civilization. It touches every facet of our lives, from how we communicate to how we work, to how we learn and entertain ourselves. More importantly, technology is the bedrock upon which we can build a dynamic, equitable future. It holds the key to addressing some of our most pressing challenges, more so in healthcare, education, financial services, and economic development.”
Dr Sisa further highlighted The Billion Group’s strategic pivot to the ICT sector, “Our decision to embrace ICT was driven by a desire to be part of a great connected future.
